LES ÉTUDIANTS EN HISTOIRE DE L'ART EXPOSENT

(ART HISTORY STUDENTS EXHIBIT)

During the course "The painted decoration of the Etruscan tomb" by Natacha Lubtchansky, we had the opportunity to create scientific posters on the vases of the Campana collection of the Musée des Beaux-Arts of Tours, France.

In addition to these posters, I volunteered to participate in Ms. Lubtchansky's research project, who suggested that I start by making a 3D model of some of the vases in the collection.

Indeed, the professors chose to form an exhibition with the work of the L3 and Masters, and the 3D models of studied vases could be an interesting element for the mediation. The 3D models make it possible to create an interaction with the public in complete safety for the works, and to be able to observe the objects from all their angles.

The exhibition took place in the History and Art History specialty library of the University of Tours.

Our part of the exhibition was composed of posters of all the students of the course, of the presentation of documents like the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum, which lists the collections of ancient vases of the French museums, and my 3D models, which could be consulted on portable computers.

I made the 3D models by photogrammetry using 3DF Zephyr software and retouching on Blender. The work still needs some corrections (interiors and textures), but you can consult them via the following links:
